Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered applications and internal tools for document understanding, process automation, and knowledge retrieval.
- Develop reusable AI infrastructure and platform components, including retrieval-augmented generation, prompt management, and model orchestration.
- Use embeddings, vector stores, similarity search, and vector databases to enable semantic search and contextual AI responses.
- Build scalable APIs and services using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Use MLflow for model experimentation, versioning, tracking, and deployment.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Backend Engineers on data access, secure service delivery, and continuous integration.
- Apply testing, observability, and CI/CD practices to AI components.
- Contribute to architectural and product discussions, agile ceremonies, AI ethics, responsible AI usage, and explainability.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience working with or deploying LLM-based systems such as GPT, Claude, LLaMA, or Mistral.
- Proficiency in Python and experience building services with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Experience with embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases such as FAISS, Weaviate, or Pinecone.
- Understanding of AI infrastructure, including versioning, experiment tracking, and deployment with tools such as MLflow.
- Exposure to production-grade APIs, services, or workflows in collaborative environments.
- Awareness of AI ethics, responsible AI practices, and explainability.
- Experience or familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, prompt engineering, RAG, LangChain, LlamaIndex, cloud infrastructure, MLOps, monitoring, or regulated life sciences environments is preferred.
- Professional working proficiency in English; Spanish or Catalan language skills are a plus.
