Base Salary
$201k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects across the Investments domain.
- Architect, build, and scale brokerage trading and custody systems and processes.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and compliance teams to ship features for customers and internal users.
- Own product and technical outcomes while helping shape Mercury’s Investments platform.
- Make architectural decisions, evaluate their long-term impact, and communicate technical tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Domain knowledge of broker-dealer trading and custody systems supporting equities, fixed income, ETFs, and mutual funds.
- Experience working at scale with AWS and infrastructure solutions.
- Experience serving as the technical lead for complex, multi-stakeholder projects from inception through completion.
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to articulate technical opinions and tradeoffs.
