Base Salary
$245k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect systems and write production code for AI-native products integrated into CCC’s auto casualty business.
- Evaluate complex legacy systems and decide what to keep, rebuild, or replace, driving modernization hands-on.
- Build production-ready backend architectures while moving between prototypes and stable, long-lived systems.
- Use AI and agentic tools as part of the engineering workflow.
- Set engineering standards through best practices, design documents, code reviews, and consistency.
- Partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience with a record of owning features end to end, from product scoping and data modeling through implementation and long-term operation.
- Strong hands-on coding skills with Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Deep experience evaluating, modernizing, and replatforming existing systems, including multi-tenant, multi-user backends and relational database design.
- Experience using AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools to accelerate shipped work.
- Ability to understand customer business problems and connect technical work to business impact.
- Strong communication and emotional intelligence for building trust across teams.
- C#/.NET experience is preferred.
- Experience across startups or scale-ups and larger enterprises is preferred.
- Insurance, claims, or auto casualty experience is preferred.
