Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end power optimization across architecture, hardware, firmware, kernel, Android, and system software teams.
- Define, prototype, and evaluate power features using pre-silicon emulation, models, and trace-based studies through post-silicon validation and productization.
- Own post-silicon power KPI execution for battery-life, gaming, and multimedia use cases, including root-cause debugging, power walks, correlation, and optimization.
- Perform software trade-off analysis involving schedulers, DVFS, low-power modes, and system-level design choices under real workloads.
- Tune or develop firmware, Linux kernel, and system algorithms for scheduling, low-power modes, bus and DDR scaling, and SoC power-state transitions.
- Contribute to power telemetry, debugging, analysis, automation infrastructure, tooling, and AI-assisted workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong computer architecture and system design knowledge, including memory management and hierarchies, CPU/GPU architectures, processes, threads, and scheduling.
- Proven embedded software development expertise and hands-on experience with firmware and Linux kernel development.
- Understanding of electrical engineering and digital logic fundamentals; low-power design experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and collaborate in cross-functional, multidisciplinary environments.
