Responsibilities

  • Serve as the final L3 escalation tier for critical platform and production incidents, leading incident bridges and documenting resolutions.
  • Implement FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 controls, support 3PAO audits, gather evidence, and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Build and maintain secure audit-log pipelines for application, system, API, and Kubernetes logs with compliant retention and lifecycle management.
  • Use Elasticsearch, Kibana, KQL, and Lucene for distributed-system troubleshooting, dashboards, and operational analysis.
  • Design secure, highly available hybrid AWS GovCloud, AWS Commercial, Kubernetes, and on-premises edge architectures.
  • Operate multi-tenant Kubernetes and EKS clusters, load balancers, ingress controllers, secure networking, hardened bare-metal nodes, and FIPS-compliant traffic routing.
  • Develop Terraform infrastructure code and GitOps deployment pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD.
  • Create automation tools, controllers, and CLI utilities in Python and Go to reduce operational toil and automate compliance reporting.
  • Design monitoring and alerting systems with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and Slack, and facilitate post-incident reviews.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of production experience operating high-availability systems in SRE, DevOps, or systems architecture roles.
  • Proven experience handling L3 production escalations, live incident triage, and stakeholder communications.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, KQL, log parsing, and operational dashboards.
  • Direct experience implementing and defending systems during FedRAMP Moderate or High, NIST SP 800-53, or SOC 2 Type II audits.
  • Experience designing hybrid cloud network architectures, secure multi-tenant clusters, and system security plans.
  • Strong Linux administration and networking knowledge, including RHEL, Rocky Linux, hardened Ubuntu, TCP/IP, iptables, DNS, and OS hardening.
  • Expert Kubernetes and AWS EKS experience, including orchestration, pod autoscaling, ingress management, and AWS/GovCloud infrastructure.
  • Experience configuring Prometheus, writing PromQL, building Grafana dashboards, and managing Alertmanager rules integrated with Slack.
  • Proven Terraform-at-scale and continuous deployment experience with ArgoCD and GitLab CI.
  • Proficiency developing production-grade automation in Go and/or Python.
  • Experience with on-premises edge servers and hardware or software load balancers such as F5 BIG-IP, HAProxy, NGINX, AWS ALB, or AWS NLB.
  • Clear written communication skills and experience writing detailed runbooks and compliance-aligned documentation.
  • Must be a US citizen residing in the United States.

Benefits

  • Annual base pay is $161,900.00-$242,900.00, with potential incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits.
