Responsibilities
- Work on real, open-ended software engineering projects under the guidance of a mentor.
- Contribute to design, implementation, testing, and deployment across the software lifecycle.
- Build SaaS features for hardware manufacturing teams on the Boltline team.
- Develop control software for bench testers, environmental testers, engine test stands, and flight systems on the Vehicle Software team.
- Convert real-time and post-launch data into analysis and insights on the Data team.
- Manage complex technical projects through execution and apply current techniques to technical problems.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a similar STEM field.
- Project-level experience with Python, C, or Rust.
- Hands-on engineering experience through internships, personal projects, work, or teams.
- Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to manage a complex technical project through execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Boltline candidates should be proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript and have front-end or back-end development experience.
- Vehicle Software candidates should be proficient in Rust or another systems language and have real-time systems experience.
- Data candidates should be proficient in Rust and have front-end or back-end development experience.
- Preferred experience includes embedded devices, autonomous systems, operating-system or kernel-level work, and relevant Boltline or Data technologies.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR work-authorization requirements and complete required employment verification, reference, and background checks.
