Responsibilities

  • Work on real, open-ended software engineering projects under the guidance of a mentor.
  • Contribute to design, implementation, testing, and deployment across the software lifecycle.
  • Build SaaS features for hardware manufacturing teams on the Boltline team.
  • Develop control software for bench testers, environmental testers, engine test stands, and flight systems on the Vehicle Software team.
  • Convert real-time and post-launch data into analysis and insights on the Data team.
  • Manage complex technical projects through execution and apply current techniques to technical problems.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a similar STEM field.
  • Project-level experience with Python, C, or Rust.
  • Hands-on engineering experience through internships, personal projects, work, or teams.
  • Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to manage a complex technical project through execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Boltline candidates should be proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript and have front-end or back-end development experience.
  • Vehicle Software candidates should be proficient in Rust or another systems language and have real-time systems experience.
  • Data candidates should be proficient in Rust and have front-end or back-end development experience.
  • Preferred experience includes embedded devices, autonomous systems, operating-system or kernel-level work, and relevant Boltline or Data technologies.
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR work-authorization requirements and complete required employment verification, reference, and background checks.
