Responsibilities
- Deploy the selected MDM platform on the agreed GCP footprint with the DataOps Engineer.
- Configure domain models, match rules, survivorship rules, and merge/unmerge behavior, tuning thresholds against real data.
- Build source-to-MDM ingestion and cross-reference structures keyed to source systems.
- Implement steward review queues, task routing, audit trails, and versioned reference data with change approval.
- Build publication views and golden-key joins at the silver layer with Data Engineers.
- Register the MDM model and lineage in Dataplex.
- Implement monitoring for match rate, duplicate rate, steward backlog, and throughput.
- Produce the MDM runbook and provide knowledge transfer support.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience implementing MDM platforms through configuration and development, not solely administration.
- Vendor certification or demonstrable experience with the selected MDM product.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Java or Python experience, depending on the platform's extension model.
- Experience with API integration patterns for publishing mastered data to consuming systems.
- Experience tuning match-job performance at multi-million-record scale.
- Vendor certification on the selected MDM product is required.
