Base Salary
$210k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design the next-generation account and ledger model with immutable events and derived balances.
- Ensure operational balances and financial reports are synchronized.
- Reconcile multiple sources of truth for financial data.
- Scale posting and adjustment pipelines for high transaction volumes.
- Maintain observability and operational readiness for money-critical systems.
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to protect sensitive customer data.
- Lead complex cross-system initiatives from architecture to production.
- Mentor Senior and Staff engineers and conduct architecture reviews.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on architecture ownership.
- Strong backend engineering skills, preferably in Python, and experience with relational databases.
- Experience in designing or operating financial systems, including accounting and ledgers.
- Proven track record of shipping production systems with observability and incident response.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
