Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
  • Define and design loosely coupled, scalable systems using industry best practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, extensible, and testable code for impactful payment systems.
  • Build, own, and operate systems to high standards of resilience and service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, across the engineering organization.
  • Lead project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Mentor junior team members and support their technical development.
  • Stay current with and share knowledge of technologies used at Checkout.com.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C# .NET, Java, or Go, with strong software development fundamentals in a backend or full-stack environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile environments and delivering high-quality code within tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • AI proficiency or curiosity and willingness to use emerging technology to improve productivity.
  • Payments or financial knowledge is preferred but not required.
