Responsibilities
- Design and build a scalable AI platform supporting LLMs, agentic workflows, and federated development across multiple teams.
- Establish architectural standards for AI governance, security, evaluation strategies, and operational excellence.
- Architect enterprise-scale cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Define reusable platform patterns for microservices, event-driven architectures, and API-first design.
- Build deployment pipelines that automatically deploy applications to the cloud while interfacing with legacy systems.
- Provide architecture guidance and governance through engineering reviews and standards.
- Balance strategic platform vision with hands-on implementation.
- Enable teams to add components, agents, and functionality within the overarching platform.
- Establish the enterprise AI platform vision and improve scalability, security, observability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years designing and delivering enterprise software platforms with proven success at scale.
- Deep Google Cloud Platform expertise, including its services, semantics, and AI capabilities; Vertex AI experience is preferred.
- Experience building production AI platform systems supporting product use cases, including agentic frameworks, LLMs, and orchestration.
- Experience building production evaluation loops for monitoring and tuning AI systems is highly preferred.
- Expertise in event-driven architecture and distributed systems, with understanding of microservices and APIs.
- Knowledge of platform security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
- Python proficiency as the primary language for AI development.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native tools.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering organizations.
