Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain configuration files defining vehicle Control and Data plane operation.
  • Design and maintain software pipelines that verify vehicle data and control plane parameters.
  • Build tools to ingest, cross-check, manage changes to, and release data-recording configuration files.
  • Create automated workflows for verifying configuration parameters.
  • Document configuration parameters, boundaries, optimal values, and system-level impacts.
  • Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives for automated integration, testing, and release.
  • Analyze vehicle data logs to identify discrepancies and optimize system performance.
  • Contribute to improvements in vehicle data-recording and analytics software.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Must be enrolled in a co-op program and meet its eligibility requirements.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week for an 8- or 12-month consecutive-semester term starting January 2027.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and not require current or future sponsorship.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or C/C++.
  • Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and workflow automation.
  • Understanding of logging and data-processing concepts, with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with calibration or configuration tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, and their logging services.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, knowledge of embedded software development and optimization, or contributions to data-intensive open-source projects are preferred.
