Base Salary
$105k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Track software execution across Computer Software Configuration Items, analyze development metrics, and escalate technical blockers.
- Support vendor proposal evaluations, Statements of Work, contracts, Program Increment priorities, and Software Development Plans.
- Review Software Requirements Specifications, Software Design Descriptions, Software Architecture Descriptions, Software Development Plans, and Software Test Plans for compliance with requirements and airworthiness standards.
- Serve as the government witness and quality assurance representative for Formal Qualification Testing, including readiness verification and travel to contractor facilities.
- Analyze defects and participate in Problem Report Review Boards, System Safety Working Groups, and Risk Boards.
- Support software safety Program Level of Rigor assessments and improve software development, testing, and defect-tracking processes.
- Provide systems engineering advice, technical oversight, working-group representation, and support for software-related engineering issues and risks.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- A technical four-year degree and at least one year of relevant experience are required.
- Experience in engineering or computer science with an emphasis on software engineering or software systems development is required.
- Experience with software requirements allocation, design, software process management, open architecture principles, software integration, and testing is required.
- Knowledge of software system design, test, interoperability, planning, and management processes is required.
- Knowledge of military avionics systems, components, software, and related design attributes is highly desired.
- Knowledge of systems engineering procedures, processes, practices, and tools related to avionics and weapons systems is highly desired.
- Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels, resolve conflicting views and information, and work collaboratively is required.
