Base Salary
$97k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend services supporting geospatial processing, automation, and user-facing capabilities
- Develop APIs, proxies, and integration services with Node.js and Python
- Create and maintain backend tooling that extends ArcGIS Enterprise in containerized environments
- Develop geoprocessing services, automation scripts, and operational workflows
- Build connectors and ingestion pipelines across enterprise data sources
- Support deployments across cloud-native and on-premises environments
- Improve reliability and performance through API design, testing, monitoring, and observability
- Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and GIS teams to deliver production solutions
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional backend software engineering experience
- Professional experience with Python, JavaScript/Node.js, and Java
- Experience designing and building REST APIs and service-based architectures
- Experience extending or integrating with ArcGIS Enterprise or similar enterprise geospatial platforms
- Familiarity with geoprocessing workflows, proxies, middleware services, and GIS or data-processing automation
- Experience with containerized environments such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Strong API design, software and system design, testing, and distributed-service debugging fundamentals
- U.S. citizenship with an active or current Top Secret Security Clearance and SCI eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems, or a STEM-related field
- Preferred: master’s degree, Esri certification, CompTIA Security+ certification, cloud-platform experience, monitoring and observability experience, secure development pipeline experience, ArcGIS Enterprise SDK or platform-extension experience, geospatial analysis or data-pipeline experience, enterprise authentication experience, database experience, and distributed workflow experience
