Application Engineer

- Develop object-oriented business applications using Java.
- Analyze functional requirements and troubleshoot application code using Java IDEs and other software tools.
- Collaborate with developers and quality assurance engineers to create application fixes and enhancements.
- Deliver high-quality software supporting mission-critical customer needs.
- Answer customers’ technical questions and provide efficient technical solutions.
- Write technical documentation according to Tyler Technologies, Application Platform Division, and Regulatory Business Unit standards and methodologies.
- Write custom JSP pages and support application deployment procedures.
Requirements
- Experience programming in SQL, Java, and JavaScript.
- Experience with web applications and relational databases, including SQL Server and Oracle.
- Understanding of J2EE architecture, including JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat, and related deployment procedures.
- Ability to analyze requirements and produce designs.
- Ability to perform testing and quality control.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience with workflow or data transaction solutions is preferred.
