Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for manufacturing optimization, predictive maintenance, and quality analytics.
- Manage the full AI solution lifecycle, including data acquisition, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify automation and optimization opportunities.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and scalable AI architectures.
- Apply computer vision, NLP, and time-series analysis to industrial use cases.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in AI development.
- Align solutions with Magna’s digital transformation and Industry 4.0 strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of AI/ML development experience in industrial or enterprise environments, including third-party systems integration.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with data engineering platforms including Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, cloud platforms including Azure and AWS, and deployment pipelines.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Fluent Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.
- Automotive or manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, and smart factories is preferred.
- Hands-on computer vision experience, such as defect detection, is preferred.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and model lifecycle management is preferred.
