Base Salary

$115k - $184k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Plan, architect, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Build and support backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and integrations with Mastercard specifications.
  • Own software development lifecycle artifacts including requirements, use cases, designs, test strategies, performance benchmarks, deployment plans, and estimates.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployments, and operational workflows.
  • Perform production incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, remediation, on-call support, monitoring, logging, and observability activities.
  • Apply secure coding, authentication, authorization, secure API design, data protection, quality assurance, and quality control practices.
  • Research technologies, participate in proof-of-concepts, evaluate vendors and frameworks, and maintain solution and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead day-to-day team development and maintenance activities, coordinate offshore development, and support service-level agreements.
  • Mentor and provide technical training and knowledge transfer to team members through code reviews, technical sessions, and SDLC guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of software design, architecture, data structures, secure development practices, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Strong programming and automation skills using Java, Groovy, or similar languages.
  • Experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications using engineering best practices.
  • Experience with service-oriented, microservices, and API-driven architectures.
  • Experience building and supporting scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for reliable and automated software delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, XLR, Chef, Artifactory, Docker Registry, or similar DevOps platforms.
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, production support, and security practices including authentication, authorization, secure API design, and data protection.
  • Ability to collaborate in a globally distributed engineering environment and interest in AI-driven automation, innovation, and operational efficiency.
