Responsibilities
- Design and build backend systems for wallets, identity, and onchain infrastructure at scale.
- Create platform primitives and APIs used by teams across Privy and Stripe.
- Lead complex technical initiatives across architecture, data, and distributed systems.
- Improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of the core platform.
- Contribute to technical direction through high-leverage engineering work.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and maintaining production systems at scale.
- Understanding of modern API development best practices and design.
- Experience with data modeling, database migrations, and infrastructure configuration.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-tested, modular code while moving quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with curiosity and adaptability.
- Preferred: experience in API-driven payments, fintech, or crypto businesses.
- Preferred: experience contributing to open-source developer tooling or publishing technical work.
- Preferred: experience with blockchain protocols and smart contracts.
- Preferred: experience in authentication, identity, or security.
