Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust API services for European customers.
- Lead architecture design and product roadmap creation.
- Scale platform capabilities across clients, regions, and geographies using resilient multi-region solutions.
- Research and drive adoption of new technologies and software engineering best practices.
- Analyze complex ecosystem requirements, determine optimal approaches, and drive technical change.
- Mentor, coach, and empower engineers while contributing to code reviews and technical designs.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire application stack.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders on a cross-functional team.
- Ensure architecture complies with European and international financial regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Extensive professional software development experience building backend services.
- Deep expertise in software design patterns, API design, and the software development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and contribute significantly to complex distributed-systems architecture.
- Understanding of REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems.
- Experience building services with Java, SQL, and AWS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, learning, and requirements-analysis abilities.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and collaborating with senior technical peers.
- Demonstrable knowledge of using AI in a professional engineering environment.
- Interest or experience in the financial industry or wealth management is advantageous.
- Experience with Elasticsearch is a nice-to-have.
