Base Salary
$216k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement foundational platforms and systems used across Scale.
- Design data platforms and lifecycle systems and architect core cloud infrastructure and orchestration capabilities.
- Redefine and improve how engineers develop, build, test, and deploy software.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, internal customers, and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver features.
- Identify and drive improvements to programming practices, processes, and engineering tools.
- Present technical information and provide guidance on development processes and technologies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-time engineering experience after graduation, with a specialty in backend systems.
- Extensive software development experience and deep understanding of distributed systems and public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Track record of independently owning successful engineering projects.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and other containerization and deployment technologies.
- Experience with orchestration platforms such as Temporal and AWS Step Functions.
- Experience with MongoDB and Postgres.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and CircleCI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience with Snowflake, Firebolt, Dagster, dbt, Zanzibar, or authorization systems such as Authz.
- Preferred: experience scaling products at hyper-growth startups and interest in AI technologies.
