Responsibilities
- Own requirements and dependencies among global engineering functions for connected device development.
- Coordinate with engineering leads and external design resources to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope.
- Drive process improvements, dependency tracking, and tools that improve collaboration across time zones.
- Support product plans and roadmaps for Comfort product lines.
- Identify, research, and develop technologies for timely introduction into products and systems.
- Guide product architecture, design, platform reuse, and development lifecycle activities from concept through launch.
Requirements
- Require 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in embedded systems engineering, product development, and technical leadership.
- Require 5+ years of embedded product development experience.
- Require 3+ years of experience creating product requirements and 3+ years of product development lifecycle experience.
- Require 3+ years coordinating dependencies across firmware, mechanical, hardware, and software engineering teams.
- Value prior engineering management or technical leadership, HVAC business experience, Agile development experience, and firmware design for connected products using Linux or FreeRTOS.
- Value project management, global cross-functional collaboration, communication, strategic thinking, analytical problem solving, and complex project management skills.
- Value experience with phased new product introduction, hardware design, firmware platforming, and app and cloud integration.
