Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, reliable, and maintainable cloud infrastructure for R&D platforms and internal applications.
- Provide technical direction for infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, automation, and shared AWS and Azure environments.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, investigations, and cross-team technical initiatives from discovery through operation.
- Improve infrastructure delivery, validation, observability, recovery, maintenance, and operational practices.
- Diagnose issues across cloud services, Kubernetes, networking, identity, and delivery systems.
- Evaluate technologies and guide pragmatic architecture, engineering standards, and technical decisions.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and create architecture documentation, operational guidance, and technical proposals.
- Collaborate with R&D application and platform teams, security, SRE, release engineering, and IT while remaining hands-on in implementation and operational support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable public cloud platforms.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, preferably with Terraform, and strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, operations, upgrades, security, and troubleshooting.
- Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure automation and CI/CD systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, secrets, security controls, observability, and operational practices for shared systems.
- Ability to lead ambiguous, cross-team technical initiatives and demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and reviewing technical designs.
- Preferred qualifications include EKS or AKS operations, advanced Terraform, multi-account or multi-environment cloud infrastructure, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, cloud security, disaster recovery, cost management, engineering workflow improvement, and influencing technical strategy without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional working proficiency in English.
