Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve service availability, latency, performance, and reliability.
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS cloud-native services across multiple regions.
- Build operations tooling and automation for deployment, scaling, failure handling, scale testing, and chaos testing.
- Operate and expand Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and ArgoCD solutions.
- Participate in and improve 24x7 incident response and on-call operations.
- Standardize platform operations and manage infrastructure capable of handling substantial daily data volumes.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting containerized workloads in production Kubernetes environments.
- Professional experience administering and diagnosing Linux/Unix systems, including process management, file systems, TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Professional experience developing automation tooling, operational scripts, or backend services with Python or Go.
- Experience building hardened container images and integrating SAST, DAST, or container vulnerability scanners into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with operating large-scale, highly available enterprise platforms is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a related role is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, ownership, drive, and attention to detail are preferred.
