Base Salary

$115k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own data models and application services across transactional, analytical, JSON, spatial, and graph workloads.
  • Define performance budgets and optimize queries, APIs, scalability, and latency at scale.
  • Architect and implement complex software features, services, APIs, and integrations.
  • Lead debugging, troubleshooting, defect resolution, testing, monitoring, observability, maintenance, and reliability improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, code reviews, architectural oversight, and mentoring to engineers.
  • Partner with product management and stakeholders on experiments, customer issues, roadmap input, and product improvements.
  • Coordinate moderately complex projects, prioritize work across initiatives, and contribute to candidate interviews and hiring recommendations.

Requirements

  • Advanced software engineering experience designing application services, schemas, APIs, and scalable software systems.
  • Experience with OLTP/OLAP, JSON, spatial, or graph data models and database-layer performance optimization.
  • Experience with software architecture, complex debugging, query and API optimization, API versioning, testing, monitoring, and observability.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, coach engineers, lead code reviews, and drive architectural and coding standards.
  • Experience addressing customer-reported technical issues and collaborating with product, UX, business, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of secure coding, vulnerability remediation, system maintenance, patching, and service reliability practices.
