Base Salary
$217k - $303k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the underlying infrastructure of Reddit’s developer platform.
- Create and drive the platform’s storage-as-a-service strategy.
- Build the technical foundation for future platform features and experiences.
- Develop features for external developers, including SQL database as a service.
- Participate across technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Review code, design documents, product specifications, and mocks and provide feedback.
- Lead large-scale technical projects, troubleshoot issues, mentor engineers, and contribute to team strategy.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience in backend, infrastructure, developer tools, or application platforms.
- Experience with Go, TypeScript, Redis, distributed SQL, and Kubernetes.
- Technical leadership experience executing large-scale projects and troubleshooting day-to-day issues.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers and leading by example in software engineering practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, innovate, act decisively, and thrive in fast-paced ambiguous environments.
