Base Salary
$149k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build core features and frontend infrastructure for a real-time multiplayer system with a complex in-memory SceneGraph data model.
- Optimize browser performance and memory usage using C++/WebAssembly and TypeScript.
- Extend the C++ engine and multiplayer protocols for scalable design systems, branching and merging flows, and advanced collaboration modes.
- Design and build APIs and tooling for product teams using the platform.
- Contribute to accessibility strategy and implementation.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to plan and execute high-impact projects.
- Write maintainable code and documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Mentor and support engineers through pairing, code review, and feedback.
- Help drive recruitment and shape the engineering culture.
Requirements
- At least four years of professional software engineering experience shipping user-facing features or products.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of TypeScript, C++, React, Go, Rust, or Python.
- Experience with web-based applications, browser performance, or real-time collaborative systems.
- Track record of collaborating across teams and disciplines to deliver complex technical projects.
- Preferred experience includes two or more years in a technical lead role, especially across multiple teams.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with game engines, rendering systems, performance-critical applications, developer platforms, API design, WebAssembly, browser internals, or C++ in a frontend context.
