Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced machine learning models and algorithms for complex business problems
- Lead complex machine learning projects that solve business challenges and provide value across ZipRecruiter
- Design the architecture and infrastructure for scalable, efficient, and robust machine learning systems
- Identify innovative applications of AI and machine learning to drive business value
- Provide leadership and establish best practices for Machine Learning Engineers
- Monitor developments in machine learning and AI and drive adoption of appropriate techniques and technologies
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience with a deep focus in machine learning
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, techniques, and best practices
- Extensive experience with machine learning model design, data pipeline design, experimentation and validation design, system design, and/or architecture design
- Preferred: 10 or more years of professional software development experience with machine learning expertise
- Preferred: BS, MS, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Expert knowledge of machine learning algorithms and best practices
- Profound knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Extensive background in deep learning architectures and techniques, including CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and GANs
- Deep knowledge of NLP techniques and tools, including tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, sentiment analysis, and named entity recognition, and libraries such as NLTK, SpaCy, or BERT
