Base Salary
$155k - $249k/yr
Responsibilities
- Shape and scale Waabi’s onboard sensor platform.
- Solve integration issues across LiDAR, radar, camera, GPS, and IMU modalities.
- Deploy and debug software on real vehicles operating in the field.
- Integrate new sensor types into current and future onboard platforms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams to design sensor solutions and resolve live-system issues.
- Lead engineering efforts to solve critical systems problems and help mature the sensor platform.
Requirements
- 6+ years of industry experience working on fielded sensor systems.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust, particularly in resource-constrained environments.
- Experience fielding and debugging Linux systems below the application level.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead engineering efforts addressing critical systems problems.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and other disciplines.
- Bonus: electronics experience, including reading schematics and using basic test equipment.
- Bonus: knowledge of timing in coordinated systems and experience developing efficient, readable, and testable code.
