Responsibilities
- Analyze software project requirements and identify test cases and use cases.
- Develop, write, and execute test plans for software projects.
- Design and perform manual and automated regression, integration, and system-level testing.
- Document test results, track defects, and communicate testing findings.
- Support service, operations, field upgrades, development activities, and customers as needed.
- Develop requirements, prototypes, and implementations to automate inefficient testing and infrastructure processes.
- Provide flowcharts and requirements to automation teams for identified test cases.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, programming groups, and test groups on design, development, testing, and documentation.
- Mentor less experienced test engineers and represent the test team in technical discussions.
- Follow test processes, standards, and laboratory or floor safety protocols.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software testing experience with a proven record of releasing quality software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant discipline, or an equivalent degree.
- Strong software quality assurance fundamentals and experience with test automation tools, scripting languages, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems such as SVN and Git, bug tracking systems such as JIRA, and test management tools such as TestRail.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux and Windows system software.
- Knowledge of Python and test software languages such as C or C++ is a plus.
- Willingness to work with CT systems, swap physical parts, push bags, and perform software testing.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently under tight deadlines in a resource-constrained environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to travel in the field to support development and customers.
- Must be at least 18 years old and willing to complete a drug test and background investigation.
