Base Salary
$149k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop secure solutions for national-security threats involving software engineering, messaging systems, infrastructure engineering, and vulnerability research.
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
- Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers on electronic data-processing systems and software.
- Analyze user needs and system capabilities, resolve program and data-flow problems, and prepare operating instructions.
- Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, operating systems, and scripting-language software.
- Ensure software standards are met and support system development and sustainment.
- Work full-time on-site in Honolulu, Hawaii, with approximately 10% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional engineering experience, or a master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related professional engineering experience.
- Current, in-scope U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance with an investigation completed within the last 6 years or enrollment in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation Program.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program clearance before a start date can be established.
- Extensive experience engineering and sustaining systems in highly cybersecure, highly regulated operational environments.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Java 21+, including backend service development and frontend interfaces.
- Experience with data-flow technologies and networking, including UDP, TCP, and hybrid protocols.
- Experience developing and sustaining messaging brokers.
- Preferred qualifications include an M.S. in Computer Science, STEM, or a related technical field; knowledge of U.S. Government messaging standards; multi-level security and cross-domain solutions experience; Spring Integration or Apache Camel; C++, Java 21+, Spring Boot, MongoDB or Elasticsearch; Angular, React, or Vue.js; JMS and ActiveMQ Classic; containerization; and agentic AI software development tools.
- U.S. citizenship is required for positions involving government clearance.
