Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize HMI frontend and backend software for sensor-based sorting machines.
  • Implement software modules, features, and HMI interactions.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
  • Test and validate software functionality and user experience directly on machines under real operating conditions.
  • Collaborate with sensor data processing software engineers and customer service teams.
  • Improve software quality, performance, and efficiency.
  • Prepare technical documentation and support troubleshooting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least three years of software development experience.
  • Development skills in C++, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical topics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in industrial systems, machinery, and hands-on engineering work.
  • Good communication and cross-department collaboration skills.
  • Fluent English skills.
  • Experience with Vue.js or a comparable framework is preferred.
  • Knowledge of image processing or machine vision is preferred.
  • Understanding of hardware-software interfaces is preferred.
  • Experience developing automated end-to-end tests, such as with Playwright, is preferred.
  • German language skills are preferred.
