Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain hardened VM images for AWS and Azure through automation and scripting.
- Design and implement end-to-end workflows for image creation, validation, testing, and deployment.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient image deployment and maintenance.
- Create runbooks, hardening guides, architecture diagrams, and other technical documentation.
- Harden RHEL, Rocky, OEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, and Windows operating systems.
- Debug code and troubleshoot pipeline errors, operating system issues, and service deployments.
- Build and manage automated patching mechanisms for Linux and Windows images.
- Apply CIS L1/L2 frameworks to identify and remediate vulnerabilities through automation.
- Track CIS Benchmark updates and maintain alignment with security best practices.
- Support audits and compliance reviews with evidence, reports, and remediation strategies.
- Enhance pipelines with vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and integrity verification.
- Conduct peer reviews of scripts, automation logic, and infrastructure-as-code templates.
- Collaborate with cloud infrastructure, architecture, and security teams on enterprise hardened-image requirements.
- Communicate with clients about team initiatives and project progress.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of IT experience.
- At least 3 years of specialized image-hardening experience.
- At least 2 years of application development experience in Python.
- At least 2 years of experience with Terraform.
- Three to five years of experience managing and securing multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP using native security tools.
- Strong knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, OS hardening, automated security remediation, scripting, and CI/CD pipeline deployment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning abilities.
