Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot data center blockers and stakeholder concerns to achieve swift resolution.
- Design, improve, and iterate on internal tools, software, and automated frameworks for issue management.
- Create standardized technical playbooks and processes that enable Server Operations teams to resolve issues autonomously.
- Partner with Engineering and Server Operations stakeholders to identify and fix root causes of negative business outcomes.
- Manage project schedules and timelines while coordinating cross-functional partners and providing business support.
- Participate in weekend on-call duties or assigned work-shift rotations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience with at least two relevant areas, including Web Technology, Data or Big Data, Systems Administration, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, and SAP.
- Five years of experience troubleshooting, advocating for customer needs, and triaging hardware, software, application, operational, and process issues.
- Experience owning the full life cycle of technical projects, including design, development, maintenance, and improvement implementation.
- Experience reading code in a general-purpose language such as Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, or JavaScript, or experience in system design.
- Preferred: four years of technical consulting experience supporting large enterprise customers with high service-level objective and service-level agreement requirements.
- Preferred: experience with cloud computing through certifications, internships, or coursework.
- Preferred: experience developing backend applications or shell scripts.
- Preferred: excellent communication and collaboration skills across organizations.
