Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Windows desktop GUI applications using C#, WPF, XAML, .NET, and MVVM.
- Build customer-facing interfaces for configuring, monitoring, and controlling laser systems.
- Develop service, diagnostic, production, manufacturing-test, emulator, simulator, and virtual laser applications.
- Create reusable software components, shared libraries, UI libraries, and NuGet packages.
- Integrate GUI applications with embedded firmware, hardware devices, and third-party equipment.
- Participate in requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, verification, debugging, release, maintenance, and product-support activities.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to effort estimation, project planning, design reviews, code reviews, and process improvement.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience developing desktop GUI applications in an industrial, engineering, scientific, or commercial environment.
- Strong C# programming skills and extensive experience with Windows desktop development using WPF and XAML.
- Strong practical understanding of the MVVM architectural pattern and experience with the Microsoft .NET platform.
- Experience with Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code and Git.
- Experience creating Windows installation packages using MSI, WiX, or equivalent technologies.
- Ability to develop mathematical, scientific, or engineering algorithms and troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary, global, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Desirable qualifications include experience with MVVM Community Toolkit or Prism, reusable UI component libraries, NuGet packages, simulators, emulators, virtual hardware, embedded systems, hardware devices, communication protocols, third-party APIs and DLLs, asynchronous and multithreaded development, remote debugging, C, C++, Linux, and regulated industries.
