Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, test, debug, modify, and implement system requirements.
- Gather and clarify requirements with business units and stakeholders.
- Design and develop server-side applications and key system components using Java and Spring technologies.
- Understand complex business logic and transition existing systems to new technologies.
- Plan development estimates and balance design considerations with business requirements.
- Collaborate with project management, product management, business analysts, QA, database administration, and systems operations teams.
- Provide production support, define system recovery procedures, and identify root causes of program failures and defects.
- Design and execute business feature, regression, integration, and unit testing.
- Work in agile and continuous integration environments using SDLC tools.
- Document technical infrastructure, concepts, specifications, and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience developing with Java technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Java 8+, object-oriented design, design patterns, distributed messaging, JMS, Spring Framework, ORM technologies, relational databases, SQL, PL/SQL, and multi-threaded server-side development.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test, Karate, Java performance tuning, debugging, and memory profiling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and workflows using Jenkins, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to support multiple projects, manage priorities, collaborate effectively, communicate technical concepts, and produce technical documentation.
- Preferred experience with HTML5 front ends, ReactJS or similar JavaScript libraries and frameworks, Kubernetes-based container platforms such as OpenShift and Tanzu, BPMN, Camunda, Drools, Redis, Test Driven Development, financial services technology, and open-source contributions.
