Base Salary
$128k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices.
- Lead and execute complex software projects.
- Define software specifications and test plans for test benches and laboratory tools.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding requirements, schedules, and software troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot complex software problems and test code and enhancements.
- Collaborate with application and systems teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable software designs.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development workflows to improve software design, development, testing, and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, including computer science, information management, software or systems engineering, cybersecurity, or mathematics.
- 10–15 years of related experience, including 10+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java or C#.
- Experience with microservice architecture and related technologies.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong software diagnostics, debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as a team player.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a related field.
- Preferred: extensive project management and Applied Materials product development life-cycle experience.
- Preferred: leadership experience for moderate-sized projects.
- Preferred: experience in the semiconductor, healthcare, or medical equipment industries.
- Experience with AI-assisted and agentic software development, including tools such as Claude.
