Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot user issues involving EDA tools, internal automation, engineering environments, infrastructure, and design-flow execution.
- Gather engineering requirements, identify pain points, and drive design-flow improvements and new feature deployments.
- Collaborate with design, reliability, CAD, infrastructure, and EDA vendor teams to resolve technical issues and implement tool features.
- Develop technical documentation, user guides, and best-known methods for design efficiency and package-design methodologies.
- Build and execute test cases for debugging, validation, and tool signoffs.
- Create and verify package designs with hierarchical component integration for end-to-end EDA tool testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Software Engineering, or a STEM-related field.
- At least four years of experience with IC digital design, package design, or EDA tools.
- At least four years of experience with EDA tools from vendors such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens.
- At least four years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, TCL, SKILL, VBScript, or Perl for workflow automation.
- At least four years of experience interfacing with customers and stakeholders to analyze design challenges or define EDA vendor specifications.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, six or more years of relevant experience, computational geometry, silicon or assembly processes, test and characterization, large SoC or multi-die package flows, EDA automation, and CAD or package-design environment support.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional infrastructure and automation improvement initiatives is preferred.
