Base Salary
$165k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior and principal engineers to design and deliver the team’s software roadmap.
- Design technical architectures and present designs to software engineers and managers.
- Implement complex backend and frontend software using Java, React, and JavaScript.
- Integrate applications with AWS services including DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, and SNS.
- Use technical design patterns, GraphQL, APIs, and message queues to develop solutions.
- Communicate ideas through written documentation, diagrams, and code.
- Maintain operational excellence and deliver high-quality production software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience writing software and deploying it to production.
- Proficiency in at least one typed language, such as Java or C, and one untyped language, such as Python or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with object-oriented design and strong computer science fundamentals.
- Expertise using AI to develop complex production software.
- Proven ability to deliver software projects from inception through launch.
- Experience with distributed backend systems and cloud-based environments such as AWS.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Preferred experience includes manufacturing, aerospace or defense, iOS, Android, React Native, HTML, CSS, React, microservice architecture, continuous integration and deployment strategies, and relational or non-relational database design and implementation.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
