Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, and debug security software for the Windows platform.
- Prototype, develop, and support the highly scalable Qualys Sensor Platform.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems and platforms.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineers, senior engineers, and architects to implement features and resolve defects.
- Take ownership of the successful delivery of assigned product components and modules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience as a hands-on engineer developing software products and solutions.
- At least 1 year of C++ programming experience in a Windows environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating system internals, including processes, threads, services, the registry, and Win32 API.
- Demonstrated skills in software design, prototyping, development, unit testing, and performance profiling.
- Hands-on experience with Visual Studio, Git, and Jira.
- Exposure to Test-Driven Development and a strong quality focus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-direction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with minimal supervision.
