Base Salary
$144k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain an extensible, robust test automation framework for HIL verification and production-line deployment.
- Develop, review, and execute automated test scripts, regression suites, and data-driven test sequences.
- Debug automation failures and improve test robustness, repeatability, coverage, and production cycle-time efficiency.
- Support qualification of automated test suites as production-line acceptance test methods.
- Create training materials and deliver knowledge-transfer sessions to production test engineers.
- Mentor Automation Test Engineer team members and review their scripts and technical contributions.
- Coordinate framework integration, software interface requirements, and tool releases with EGSE Software Engineers.
- Coordinate test coverage, automation priorities, and bench integration with VTB and Electrical Test teams.
- Participate in design reviews and provide test automation and DFT feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in test automation, embedded software testing, or hardware-in-the-loop test development.
- Proficiency in Python and experience maintaining automated test frameworks and regression suites in a hardware test context.
- Experience integrating automated test systems with serial protocols, data buses, or analog I/O.
- Ability to design maintainable, reusable, and scalable test frameworks.
- Experience with nonconformance management, anomaly disposition, and corrective action processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief program leadership on test automation status and architecture.
- Preferred experience with spacecraft, launch vehicle, or defense electronics programs and automated acceptance testing.
- Preferred experience with GSEOS, COSMOS, LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or similar ground test software frameworks.
- Preferred experience qualifying automated test suites for production acceptance testing.
- Preferred familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated regression frameworks for embedded or HIL systems.
- Preferred experience testing SpaceWire, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, or RS-422 data bus protocols through automated scripts.
- Preferred experience developing technical training for production test personnel.
