Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to automation framework design and enhancement while maintaining traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts.
- Define and communicate environmental and test data requirements and act as a technical expert for one or more applications.
- Create applications and unit test cases that validate functional requirements and account for privacy and security requirements.
- Implement continuous testing and integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform backend API and database test automation, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with internal and external teams to improve software quality.
- Apply software development and testing methodologies while monitoring and escalating technology, risk, and control issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools including Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, CloudBees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, and Jira.
- Extensive experience testing components based on modern scripting languages and developing automated tests.
- Knowledge of smoke, functional, non-black-box, regression, unit, integration, and functional testing methodologies.
- Expertise in backend test automation using Rest Assured or Karate for API testing and JDBC or JPA for database testing.
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake databases and sophisticated SQL queries.
- Proficiency in Java and Python and experience in software development.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall environments and onsite/offshore work coordination.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
