Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and write software features and performance optimizations for AWS Transfer Family.
  • Analyze data to inform design decisions and measure the effectiveness of changes.
  • Debug complex issues in distributed systems.
  • Review technical proposals and code from team members and partner teams.
  • Contribute to large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent and experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
