Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile team members to understand project requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual and automated functional, integration, system, and regression tests.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and report defects using issue-tracking tools.
- Work with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve reported issues.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts and contribute to test automation initiatives.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve QA processes and procedures.
- Validate software, firmware, and integrated system solutions for quality, reliability, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Software Quality Engineer.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with project management and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Hands-on experience with Windows applications and web applications.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Software Test Life Cycle, and testing methodologies from project definition through post-deployment documentation.
- Preferred: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification.
- Preferred: experience with embedded systems, firmware testing, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD environments, Linux environments, containerization, virtual machines, networking protocols, scripting, and high-reliability, security, or access-control systems.
- Preferred scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Preferred experience with REST APIs, integrated system testing, and protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, RS232, RS485, SSL/TLS, XML, JSON, and REST services.
