Base Salary

$130k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build security-critical AI agents that automate Starshield network and systems defense.
  • Use AI to discover and fix security issues in Starshield infrastructure and systems.
  • Guide and test AI integrations in new and existing Starshield systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve security through automation and AI.
  • Maintain production systems and improve security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with one or more software development languages, including Python, C++, or Golang.
  • Preferred experience designing and building production software across backend services, data models and migrations, and modern web frontends.
  • Preferred experience taking software from prototype to production with Kubernetes deployments, CI pipelines, monitoring, and secure service connections.
  • Preferred experience designing, prompting, and securing agents capable of long-running autonomous tasks.
  • Preferred experience applying AI or machine learning to classification and decision problems involving malicious activity or malicious agent inputs.
  • Preferred experience designing AI systems that learn and improve over time.
  • Preferred knowledge of identity, cryptography, network security, operating system security, detection, and monitoring.
  • Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.
