Base Salary
$112k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to engineering projects developing, maintaining, and supporting embedded software components, products, and services.
- Develop embedded software control designs and documentation for vehicle chassis, components, and systems.
- Architect, develop, install, and troubleshoot custom applications on real-time and Linux operating systems.
- Read digital circuit board schematics and write software to control electrical circuits.
- Plan and perform engineering evaluations, investigations, calculations, and tests.
- Perform system failure-mode analysis and risk assessments using electrical engineering principles.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales and marketing, service, parts, suppliers, and customers.
- Develop engineering solutions, communicate technical issues, support global design and safety standards, and improve engineering processes.
- Visit customer sites and support product issue resolution, sales activities, and understanding of mine environments and customer expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a related engineering field.
- Six years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate related engineering experience.
- Experience using real-time and Linux operating systems to architect, develop, install, and troubleshoot custom applications.
- Experience reading digital circuit board schematics, controlling circuits through software, and troubleshooting with multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Experience creating technical documentation describing system operation and testing.
- Experience performing system failure-mode analysis and risk assessments using electrical engineering principles.
- Experience reading and writing the C programming language.
- Up to 10% domestic travel and up to 5% international travel is required.
