Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end website functionality, CMS content models, schemas, integrations, APIs, and platform capabilities.
- Build Sanity CMS headless architecture capabilities, including schema design, GROQ queries, Sanity Studio customization, and API development in Next.js.
- Create scalable content models, taxonomies, workflows, permissions, reusable content blocks, and publishing processes.
- Partner with front-end developers to support React, shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS, and Storybook-based experiences.
- Integrate Salesforce, Pardot, Qualified, Optimizely, 6sense, Bynder, Smartling, consent tools, analytics, forms, and other connected systems.
- Support SEO, AEO/GEO, structured content, schema markup, metadata, redirects, analytics tagging, performance, accessibility, and conversion tracking.
- Support AI-forward digital experiences, intelligent search, personalization, guided journeys, chatbot integrations, and AI content tools.
- Maintain secure, performant, reliable, scalable, and accessible back-end website platforms.
- Participate in QA, UAT, regression testing, troubleshooting, release validation, issue resolution, and production support.
- Document content models, integrations, dependencies, release processes, configuration, and technical standards.
- Use Git, code review, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and agile delivery practices to ensure controlled releases.
- Lead or support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives within a small development team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional web development experience.
- At least 2 years of Sanity CMS experience, including content modeling, schema design, GROQ queries, and Sanity Studio customization, or equivalent headless CMS experience with the ability to ramp up on Sanity.
- At least 3 years of production experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong hands-on experience with back-end web development, headless CMS implementation, and modern web platform architecture.
- Experience with React and Next.js, including server components, API routes, SSR, and SSG.
- Experience managing production web application hosting and infrastructure with Vercel, Netlify, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL and integrating third-party services, CRM and marketing technology, analytics tools, and web platform dependencies.
- Understanding of CMS content modeling, structured content, taxonomies, workflows, permissions, reusable components, publishing structures, SEO, metadata, redirects, performance, accessibility, analytics tagging, and conversion tracking.
- Experience with content migration, environment management, deployment processes, troubleshooting, Git, code review, CI/CD, release processes, and agile development workflows.
- Experience supporting secure, scalable, reliable, and performant enterprise or large-scale web platforms.
- Experience with B2B, SaaS, global, multilingual, or enterprise marketing websites.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools, copilots, automated testing, debugging, workflow automation, Tailwind CSS, component libraries, Storybook, shadcn/ui, web analytics, A/B testing, personalization, CMS or DAM integrations, internationalization, localization, and AI-driven content solutions is preferred.
- Requires 15 years of full-time education.
