Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Android audio components and Audio Framework/HAL extensions for automotive use cases.
- Implement audio focus and priority management, audio routing, and custom interfaces for extended functionality.
- Customize the Android codebase for car infotainment systems and work across Android HAL, Linux drivers, and core Android frameworks.
- Meet audio performance KPIs including latency and CPU usage.
- Break user features into technical tasks, create and groom the backlog, and plan incremental implementation work against program milestones.
- Conduct daily stand-ups, communicate progress, perform design and code peer reviews, and ensure software architecture and requirements traceability.
- Ensure process compliance and request the inputs needed to fulfill responsibilities.
Requirements
- Extremely proficient in C and C++.
- Strong system programming skills and knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and operating-system internals.
- Experience in the Android programming environment, including Binder and shared memory.
- Experience with Android HAL, Linux drivers, core Android frameworks, and the open-source Android ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Android libraries, build systems, and internal frameworks.
