Base Salary
$170k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build software systems that assist millions of low-income Americans.
- Develop iOS and Android applications using Vue, TypeScript, and Capacitor.
- Create server-side software with Python and Flask, utilizing Postgres and Redis.
- Ensure software is reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
- Communicate effectively with team members during projects and code reviews.
- Contribute to the engineering culture and processes as the team scales.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to scope and execute projects.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex full-stack software.
- Experience in a startup environment or ability to handle ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in Python and JavaScript or willingness to learn.
- Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
- Passion for making a difference in users' lives.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of government services related to safety net programs.
