Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, operate, and improve massively scalable distributed cryptography and identity management systems.
  • Write code, triage operational issues, and participate in end-to-end service ownership.
  • Work with large AWS customers to address technical needs across a suite of services.
  • Investigate complex technical issues and improve customer experience.
  • Lead the design and architecture of new and existing systems for reliability and scalability.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute as a technical lead or engineering team leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
  • At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience in one or more software programming languages.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Must obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph; AWS will sponsor commensurate agency clearances as applicable.
