Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design and build efficient and secure RESTful APIs for service integration.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product managers.
- Implement unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and stability.
- Integrate relational and non-relational databases with backend applications.
- Optimize backend application performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and improve development processes.
- Document code and development processes clearly.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar developer.
- Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and API design best practices.
- Experience with SQL databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases including MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing using Jest, Mocha, Chai, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of version control with Git.
- Experience implementing scalable solutions and optimizing performance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, solve complex problems, communicate clearly in English and Spanish when applicable, and write clean, maintainable code.
