Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain video software for Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets used in IoT products.
- Work with Android and Linux multimedia frameworks, video drivers/HAL, and video pre/post-processing.
- Analyze customer requirements and design video software features.
- Debug and troubleshoot video software issues.
- Support video capabilities including playback, camcorder, transcoding, streaming, HDR, VR, and 3D video.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of software engineering or related work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1+ year or a PhD in a related field.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience in one or more areas including Linux device drivers, Android multimedia, GStreamer, FFmpeg, video codecs, image codecs, video compression, video processing, or streaming protocols.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability.
- GPU experience is preferred.
